CERTIFICATION OPERATIONS
Certified Recovery Peer Specialist
GRANDFATHERING PERIOD OPEN
The Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) designation is for those persons who possess competency in the field of Mental Health adult and family peer-to-peer recovery.
The Grandfathering Period for this certification is open from October 1, 2007 - October 1, 2008. Applicants are NOT required to take the exam during this period. You may apply for this credential in one of two ways:
Option A Complete the electronic application and submit via e-mail from the links below. Print, complete and mail the required forms to the FCB from.
Option B Contact the FCB at (850) 222-6314 to request an application and the required forms. All documents will be mailed to you and must be returned via the U.S. mail.
ADULT PEER - This certification is for those persons who possess competency in the field of adult mental health peer-to-peer recovery. Applicants must attest to being a receipent of of public or private mental health services within the last two years. Application Instructions Application Required Forms
FAMILY PEER - This certification is for those persons who possess competency in the field of family mental health peer-to-peer recovery. Applicants must attest to active involvement with a child diagnosed with a mental illness. The applicant must be a first degree relative or primary care giver of the child. JOINT CERTIFICATION - This certification is for those persons who possess competency in the field of both adult and family mental health peer-to-peer recovery. Applicants must attest to both of the items above. Application Instructions Application Required Forms
There is a $100 Certification Fee (Family or Adult credential) or a $125 Certification Fee (Joint Certification) that must accompany your application. Please make sure your Application Portfolio is complete. Certification Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. The current FCB Code of Ethics can be found here.
